The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) says it will take years for North Korea to recover from the recent flooding that killed more than 600 and left at least a million in need of humanitarian assistance.
UNICEF's representative in North Korea Michel Le Pechoux says although the international humanitarian response was impressive, the recovery process will be long and painful.
UNICEF says it is also rebuilding and equipping over 300 schools which were damaged by the floods.
